Water Quality Control

QEP Environmental provides planning, monitoring and assessment of water quality. Such measures are carried out in order to observe the effects of a development onto nearby lakes, streams and rivers. Water quality is often an issue if development is ongoing close to aquatic habitat, as certain areas of the shoreline are critical for fish life cycles. It's critical to compile a mitigation plan for such constructions.

The most critical and commonly monitored indicators of water quality:

  • Mineral and chemical concentrations
  • Turbidity
  • pH
  • Temperature
  • Conductivity
  • Dissolved oxygen

QEP Environmental staff has conducted water quality control planning as part of many projects, including repeated measurement during dam constructions.
