Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA)

An Environmental Impact Assessment may be required for new development and renovation. An EIA is frequently a requirement in building permit approval. This type of assessment aims to quantify and describe potential impacts of the planned construction, as well as to find mitigation measures to limit environmental imposition. As part of this assessment QEP Environmental will also suggest environmentally-conscious methods of operation for the building/structure following its construction. Recommendations are released to the client in the form of an EIA Report, and are reviewed by regulators in consideration of new permit applications.

QEP Environmental has completed many EIA assessments and reports, working with a multitude of regional districts. Our staff is experienced with the most recent and up to date EIA methodology. Our firm has successfully completed EIAs for large, industrial developments as well as for smaller, residential works.
